April 30 Memorial Digital Exhibit

The April 30 Memorial Digital Exhibit includes photographs, videos, letters, oral histories and other remembrances. The items featured on this site highlight the ways in which UNC Charlotte, the surrounding community and the nation grieved together in the days, weeks and months following the tragedy. They show the resilience of our campus community and the ways in which we will always remember those who were lost and forever changed that day.

On April 30, 2020, we recognized the one year anniversary of the tragic events on campus with “United: A Remembrance Program.”

On Wednesday, May 1, students organized a vigil in Halton Arena.

After the vigil, UNC Charlotte released the following video on all social media platforms. It was also played at Commencement.
